Antics

Antics is a legacy in and around the Midwest. Constantly evolving and changing to adapt to the times, yet never forsaking their blues and rock roots, Antics is THE premier rockin' party band around. Formed in 1980, Antics has evolved from a simple, rock cover band to a hard drivin' blues-rock group with their own distinctive keyboard oriented, guitar driven sound.

With their own original style being compared to such diverse influences as Deep Purple and Journey, and with guitar sounds similar to Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Antics puts forth a high-energy show that is well worth listening to.

By combining their love of the blues, with awesome rock guitar riffs and great vocal harmonies, Antics delivers a very polished, yet gritty product and proves the blues isn't just for acoustic guitars.

Their critically acclaimed debut CD, “We’re Just Bad Boys” shows the band’s blues roots and their diversity. With a taste of rock, pop and rhythm and blues, it quickly found it’s way onto radio stations all across the Midwest.

“Don’t Be Lonely”, “Chase Those Blues Away” and especially “Bad Boys” got quite a bit of airplay. But that was in 1994―1996. Now with the advent of the Internet and with the new MP3 technology, “Bad Boys” is once again being heard….only this time it is on the Internet charts and you can download and listen to it with your computer.

Over the years, Antics has shared the stage with such great classic rock artists as Derek St. Holmes of Ted Nugent’s band, and James Young from STYX, Gary Richrath from Rockford, Illinois’ very own REO Speedwagon, the unforgettable Greg Allman, and they have done many shows with classic Midwest rockers, Head East.
